The above shot is probably the only decent photo of me
backpacking that there has ever been. Cool. A tourist took the picture for
me.
OK. I'm on my way and we've got snow down to 2000 feet under
the rim.
I'm hiking in the snow but it looks like dry camping below.
It was crowded on the BA coming in but I have the Tonto
Trail all to myself and it's my birthday, Christmas Eve.
The Canyon very looked better and a new Zero Degree bag kept
me warm and toasty at night in the 20's.
After all these years hiking the Grand Canyon, I finally
completed the Tonto Trail link between Bright Angel trails the
Kiabab Trail. I may finish all the Tonto Trail this year.
Christmas Day. Time to hike out. A great Steak Sandwich at
the Bright Angel Lodge and I'm off to Vegas. Great little hike.

It's time to come off Mt Charleston and Head back to the Desert

First order of Business, find my property at Lake Mead. On
the way home I cross Hoover Dam at night. These are experiments.

I don't normally photograph man made things but this was ghostly

a deer friend.

Valley of Fire

60 miles north of Las Vegas and directly adjacent to the
Overton Arm of Lake Mead is the incredible Valley Of Fire
Every color that ever existed in a desert
What an incredible playground
After
