where do I look for info on an old art piece, but it doesn't have any signature name or store names on it?
It's an original hand made piece, that has the old price tag, with a $695.00 price. It's a medium sized piece of drift wood, with miniature pewter miners, and mini mining carts on small railroad tracks circleing the wood, and has like fools gold all over it, and is to look like the old gold rush miners era? I'm curious to know about it more, than it's value, but I don't know what or who it's from? Just know that it's an original made by hand. I've been wanting to find out any info on it, that might give me some clue to where to look for the maker or its origin? It's an old old piece of work, but not over 100 yrs. I don't think? Any ideas or know of this type of art pieces would sure help me get a start on finding it's history.
