Vintage Enamel
strong>vintage enamel
I am looking for-most effective and least damaging method to remove enamel paint from a Vintage Cabinet (wood)?
I want to strip the old paint off a vintage button cabinet, it is quite a small piece, and I would like to re-paint it. Could anyone please help if they know the best method? (paint stripper, or sandpaper etc?)
Any advice would be most appreciated, thanks.
Our old house was an old colonial and it had beautiful woodwork that was painted on in several coats... My parents bought a heated paint stripper... It looks like a blow dryer that get really, really HOT and it softens the paint so it can be scraped off... That's one solution.. Or you can use paint stripper and take it off like that.. If it's a small piece....
There's also that "all natural" stuff that you paint on and it turns white or grenn when it's ready to strip... I think it's called ready strip...
Good luck
