Ideas for decorating my apartment for next school year?

I am moving from off campus housing where I had a lot of decorating freedom to an on campus apartment where my room is very small and comes with a twin bed, desk, and wardrobe closet. I want it to be cute and cozy, but I need ideas for how to decorate it! I don't want any of that cheesy hot pink dorm room stuff they advertise, but I do have girlie taste. I kind of like black white and red, but I also love vintage looks. I can't paint or hang anything on the walls either, so I am thinking maybe a wall decal or some sort of fabric hanging. What would you suggest? Links for room ideas would be so helpful!!!! Thanks so much.

I have to admit, it was a though question to answer, since you can't hang or paint anything. But...here goes....ever thought of a black and white room? A little black lamp with some white items to mix....If the walls in your room are white, you could also get some black items for contrast. Or maybe you could mix some white and red items together. With a white wall that would look good as well. If it's possible, maybe a couple of small plants in white pottery with red ribbons tied around.
