Vintage Snow Boots

Dress code at new job is "business casual" but everyone dresses sloppily?
They wear pants that are too long and drag in the snow or baggy knitted sweaters with t-shirts underneath. I have a bunch of knee-length pencil skirts and fitted Mad Men type dresses. Most of my clothes are vintage. I always wear heels and pantyhose. I have a few skirt suits at home but I don't wear them because I consider those business formal. I don't like wearing pants and I don't own any (I don't own any flat shoes or boots either). I don't care if other women do, but on me they look sloppy and unfeminine. I'm 23 and I have a good figure (5'6" size 6). I dress modestly. The most anyone sees are my collarbone, forearms, and calves, but I still want to fit in without looking like a slob or buying a whole new wardrobe. What should I do?
Sounds like you have great taste. I agree with the idea of not wearing your suits, but I see nothing wrong with continuing to wear pencil skirts, heels and hose. On our casual Fridays I still wear pantyhose and heels. If it's what you're comfortable in and you shouldn't compromise yourself just to "fit in" with their attire. Be yourself and your personality will be what people will get to know and respect. Who knows, maybe some of the others will actually follow your lead and start to polish their "business casual" look.
Good Luck!
