style help; i need help for back to school?

i want to try the whole, vest (u noe the Vintage Suit vests) , hat and hooped earrings style but i need ideas on how to get it to look good on me.....if you have any ideas, please let me know i'd very much appreciate it.

If you want to do a vest then keep it fitted, don't wear a lose one or it will just look tacky. If you want to do the whole vintage thing then I would try one of the newsboy hats or a bowlers hat and add a litle flare to it by giving it a brighter colored ribbon around it or a cute pin.
